Chevron braided horse hair WIP

Ok excuse this shitty, shitty picture. I really need to invest in a camera that takes decent macro pictures.

This is the chevron finger weave (note the V pattern) braided out of horse hair. There are 6 different horses in this braid. This one took me about an hour and a half, give or take. I screwed it up a few times so I had to re-braid it because of various reasons like the neighbor coming to the door, the phone ringing etc.

It eventually is going to be a hat band. This is only one part of it. I still need to make the herringbone ties, button knots and tassels.

This is a commission for a lady whom I spent a weekend with at her wonderful farm a few weeks ago.

I DO COMMISSIONS!!! However braiding horse hair in this manner takes a lot of practice, patience and skill. Please inquire about prices and stuff because I NEED THE MONEYS!! I only use your horses hair or hair bought from various places or my horses would be bald in the tail department. Believe it or not it takes very little hair to do a braid like this.
